Welcome to Meadowbrook Montessori School, one of the few Montessori Schools in England that educates children aged 2½ to 12 years and incorporates the highly skilled approach of Positive Discipline as a way of helping children to become responsible members of society.

Meadowbrook staff are highly experienced in their field and as a school we are deeply committed to the Montessori approach. We acknowledge the importance of parents as the child's first and foremost educators and understand fully both the joys and challenges that parenting can bring! For this reason, we also offer an innovative programme of Montessori Parent and Toddler sessions as well as a variety of parent courses through The Independent Parent & Child Centre. Meadowbrook is also home to the Montessori Teacher Training College which offers fully accredited and well-recognised Montessori teacher training on a part time basis.

At Meadowbrook we provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children learn through encouragement, sensitivity to others and mutual respect. Our small, well-established school aims to provide children with an educational experience that is truly engaging and that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

The school is highly regarded by Ofsted and although we embrace the very best in traditional and progressive education, Meadowbrook is grounded in the pedagogical model developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.
